Peu après notre toute première expérience au Zimbabwe, nous avons eu très vite envie de récidiver.

Cette fois, nous avons choisi une mission Planète Urgence au Bénin ce qui est l’occasion de découvrir une zone de l’Afrique encore inconnue pour nous, dans un contexte francophone et dans un parc dont les problématiques sont très différentes.

La Pendjari est située tout au Nord du Bénin et marque la frontière avec le Burkina Faso. On y rencontre quasiment tous les animaux de la savane, à l’exception des girafes.

Guépards, hyènes et lions sans crinière y survivent assez bien, et les éléphants sont encore bien représentés. Mais la faune du parc comporte surtout de nombreuses espèces d’antilopes qu’il faudra apprendre à reconnaitre pour les comptages !
